Eligibility for Academics Abroad Groups Programs

Courses are open to all individuals who are in good academic standing (not on suspension or probation, with GPA of 2.5 or above) at their current or last attended institution.  This includes:

  • - Current US university students
  • - University graduates
  • - Those meeting credential, professional development or CEU requirements
  • - High School graduates who have not yet entered a university

Graded credit (A-F, S/U) is issued for all courses listed except Portuguese 113 which is graded S/U only.  Students need to receive permission in advance from their current university or credentialing agency to transfer credit to their university or have credit earned apply to their CEU requirements.  University admittance status is non-degree and courses taken in non-degree status may not be used to meet university degree admission requirements.

Since students are not accompanied abroad by a US instructor, students must possess the maturity of character and work ethic to succeed in a  self-directed program.   As a general rule, students should apply at least 2 months prior to the anticipated enrollment.

Fees are the same for all students regardless of State or Country of origin (no extra costs based on residency).

Financial Aid.  We will be happy to work with your home university to assist you.  Contact your financial aid adviser at your university.  If they require a consortium agreement, we will facilitate completion.  There are many financial aid options for study abroad.
