Terms & Conditions for Academics Abroad Programs

APPLICATION FEE: $385 USD per person (Due with your application) - $300 of which is used twoards the final cost of your program.

FINAL COURSE FEE: Due 60 days prior to study abroad. Amount varies depending on course(s) and locations.

CANCELLATIONS: $65 for each change you make. Some "changes" may result in cancellation fees. For example, late changes may not be possible; change of course date is subject to the new date being available etc.

CANCELLATIONS: for Academics Abroad courses are effective the day received in writing by NRCSA in Milwaukee, WI USA. Application Fee. If you are not accepted, the application fee is fully refundable. If accepted, the fee is non-refundable. Course Fee. Course fees are fully refundable up to 60 days prior to your scheduled start class date abroad. For cancellations 60-40 days prior to your scheduled start class date abroad, 20% of course fees are non-refundable; 39-15 days prior to your scheduled start class date abroad, 50% of course fees are non-refundable; within 14 days of departure, 100% of course fees are non refundable. Some cancellations may incur additional fees. Airline cancellation penalties, if any, are in addition to those outlined above. Cancellation penalties are per person, per program. Medical, baggage (above that included) and cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.

CONDITIONS: Each institution listed herein is independent of the National Registration Center for Study Abroad (herein referred to as NRCSA), and controls, and will periodically make changes in the program. Classes may fill, be changed, or dropped by academic institutions. NRCSA is a division of Mibar Ltd. and is not responsible for these changes or other actions beyond its control such as strikes, postal delays or loss, mechanical breakdowns, weather, government actions, delay or acts/omissions of suppliers. NRCSA may make changes or substitutions or cancel any program. In the event of entire program cancellation by NRCSA, liability is limited to refunding all monies paid through NRCSA for said program. Participants electing not to use portions of a program shall not be entitled to a refund. No agent or representative of NRCSA shall have the right to alter the provisions listed herein. Costs based on tariffs and exchange rates effective the date of printing of this material, and are subject to change. Additional costs resulting from such change will be paid by the participant. Registrations are valid when accepted by NRCSA in Milwaukee. Photographs of or statements by participants may be used by NRCSA. NRCSA, group leaders and/or foreign coordinators, at their discretion, may get medical assistance for participants, or place them in a hospital, or fly them back to the U.S. for medical treatment. All costs related to medical treatment or evacuation will be paid by the participant and recovery of funds paid is between the participant and your insurance provider per the terms of your coverage and up to your policy limits. Note that insurance included in the cost of this program a) is valid only for your prepaid dates of study and, b) reimburses you for only specified medical expenses. If you have a medical condition which may pose a safety threat to you while abroad or if you take critical or behavior altering medications, provide details in writing at time of application. Failure to do so may result in denial of insurance and/or expulsion from the foreign school if problems arose related to those conditions or medications. Participants are expected to adhere to the US university code of conduct as well as foreign rules and customs. If, in the opinion of the US university or foreign school staff, you are not adhering to these rules and customs, your participation in the program shall terminate immediately without refund whatsoever.

Chargebacks, returned checks, incurred debts and/or recovery for damages abroad will be given to a debt collection agency when warranted. The US university offering the course in which you enroll is solely responsible for student acceptance, course placement, and awarding of credit. Withholding information, failure to submit all required documents or complete course requirements in a timely manner, or giving false information may result denial of credit, expulsion from the US university, and/or a failing grade. The US university is not responsible for students' travel to the host site, for study at the foreign institute, for their housing and meal arrangements, or for their well-being in the foreign country and has no relationship with the foreign institution beyond that of verifying certain course requirements such as class attendance. There is no guarantee that credits earned on this program will transfer to your home university hence it is your responsibility to verify credit transfer issues with your home university prior to registration. Acceptance in this program is based upon the fact that you have read, understand, and agree to the above and all other information conveyed on this web site.

For your convince, paper checks will be converted into ACH debits and processed electronically. ACH debits will appear on your banking statement as Mibar Ltd.

INFORMATION USE: Information provided to NRCSA for Academics Abroad courses will be shared with participating organizations and educational institutions to facilitate your registration.

NOTE: Classes canceled in honor of local holidays are not made up. Foreign schools use placement tests. If there is no group at your level, tutor or
semi-tutor classes may be substituted with fewer hours/week. A class-hours is 45-50 minutes.
